CHECKOUT FRICTION
Reduce uncertainty before you reduce fields.
Checkout friction is not just form length. Unexpected cost, weak recovery and shifting promises can be more damaging — and each remains a hypothesis until measured.

Checklist
- Show a predictable total before the final step.
- Keep valid input after every recoverable error.
- Defer fields with no immediate fulfilment purpose.
- Repeat delivery and return promises at the decision point.
- Test one change with a metric, rollback and stop condition.
A visible issue is not proof of lost revenue. Friction 48 makes it testable; it does not manufacture causality.
